I made this cute baby quilt the past couple of days....but....I FORGOT to prewash my dark blue backing, so of course it bled through after I washed it! Luckily it only bled on a couple of squares just through the stitches, but was still annoying! Anyways, lesson learned, PRE-WASH your dark fabrics! Usually I don't pre-wash light fabrics or neutral tones, but reds and dark blues or blacks I always do. Luckily its still really cute, and it adds to the vintage look. :)

It is a very cute quilt! I can't see where it bled through. It looks great.
Very cute, I can't see the bleeding either. Someone told my sister to put 2 cups salt in if you don't prewash and that will prevent it from bleeding. I haven't tried it yet, but she said it never fails.
The same thing happened to the quilt I made my boyfriend..only I had prewashed it. I prewashed all the fabric at my parents house where we have a water softener and such and then I washed it once it was finished in College Station (our water here is absolutely horrible and hard and I'm thinking that is why). Anyways I love this quilt.
