WIP

Today is a rainy, dark, overcast day, the kind that make me feel at home. (I grew up in Seattle) I feel more productive on days like this, which is probably the opposite from most, but I love it. So today, besides the growing pile of laundry calling my name, I'm going to attempt to get these rows all sewn together and my son's quilt top done. Its been sitting on the sewing table way too long, its starting to stress me out. Since when did quilting become another To-Do on my list? At least this quilt, maybe because I know after its finished it will probably sit in a closet for 5 months.

I also started another project that I'm really loving! My red and aqua quilt! I cut the fabric I had, thus lovely pile of scraps I can't seam to toss, and now I need to cut into this fresh pile of fabric I recieved in the mail yesterday. That lovely red and white polka dot on top is from Sweet by Urban Chicks, then under it Amy Butler Midwest Modern 2, and under that a print by Paula Prass (LOVE HER STUFF) and a solid. So hopefully I'll get those cut soon!
Fat Quarter Shop has everything 20% off if you enter Valentine in as a coupon code at checkout until the 20th. I ordered some Hello Betty Retro fabric yesterday, its a new obsession. And hard to find!

I get so sucked into your colors and combinations. You have such a talent.

I think the "gloomy, rainy day = productive day" is something us Pacific Northwesterner's understand the best! It's actually a pretty day, only partly cloud! Not soo good for productivity. Good for sitting around thinking you should be doing something outside, yet it's still to cold! :)

Wow, I really LOVE that red and aqua combination! Those fabrics you picked out look stunning together. I especially can't wait to see that one finished.

Hey again, Allison.

Thanks so much for the image for Mountain Baby Quilts. I've visited Rachel's site and responded. I've also done a post about this project and asked others to do so as well.

Love your color choices! What is that fabric with the red background and ovals with colored rectangles in it? It's the main fabric of the top block in this entry's top picture. You use alot of it and I LOVE IT! Must get some! I've looked for it because I'm sure I've seen it somewhere..

I love your blog! Thanks for sharing your love of quilting with the rest of us who share your passion :-)

I am like you! I think rainy dark days are perfect for quilting. I call them my quilt days and just quilt all day.
