I really really love this one. It turned out even better than I thought it would, I think its all the polka dots that won me over. I used a solid cream sheet for the back, and I’m not sure what the binding fabric is called, but its a pretty muted red that isn’t too bright. I did simple quilting, just straight stitching 1/4” from the seams to frame in the triangles. It was hard to smoosh the quilt under my machine doing those angled seams, and I certainly got a workout. Which is good since I’ve been sitting on my bum for two days.
I got the royal eye roll when it was time for my husband to hold the quilt up for a picture. He seems to think when its picture time I get really cranky, and picky, and bark orders. Can't imagine that can you? ahem. So I used a door instead, he's officially fired as the quilt holder. :)
Now I’m off to make this pound cake from Martha and pretend its lunch.
P.S. sorry my blog feed is being weird so you'll probably get this feed twice. And does anybody know why it takes like an hour for the feed to get sent out? Maybe that's normal. I'm feeling old with all this blog feed blah blah blah stuff, technology is leaving me in the dust!
