If you haven’t noticed already my URL changed to www.cluckclucksew.com . Google has been redirecting everyone till now, but now you’ll have to update all your links and readers with the new URL. Sorry I know its a pain….but I’d hate to lose any of you!
I enjoyed a day at the thrift stores getting more crap to pack. But I did score some cute linens, a dirty airplane to keep “someone” happy, and plenty of bacterial diseases. I don’t know what it is about moving, but it makes me want to buy more junk. Mostly other people’s junk I plan to fix up but then it sits un-fixed in my house for a year. Lately I’m looking for one of these to hold my quilts.
Or something like this. Except preferably from the garbage, or a thrift store, or the side of the road. :)

Those linens RULE!! You've got that thrift store/yard sale radar that I long for!!
okay i think we all experienced something today like that. i wonder if it's going to get fixed?
Oh, I *love* that green sheet! I have it in blue, and a somewhat different shade of green (more like avocado & gold). They are definitely my favorites, and I used them for my zigzag quilt (blogged here: http://usetheloot.blogspot.com/2009/06/zigzag-done.html). I still have a lot of the blue left if you'd fancy a trade. :-)
oh my goodness ! I am in that mode now. I just bought my first house and the garage is full of projects to be done...my thrift shop/goodwill/garage sale goodies waiting to be transformed! But they really need to get done and put into the house now! LOL
okay i totally busted out laughing when you said you follow your own blog...cause I DO TOO! bahaha. got to make sure it's all running smooth and all you know?! ;) glad i got all your posts today too. and i'm thinking it was blogger's deal.
Google reader updated with your new URL! Add me to the list of people who follow their own blogs! (LOL!)
This weekend I went to an estate sale for the first time ever as it said they would have vintage linens. As usual, I left with cook books and that was all. I figure one of these days I'll eventually hit paydirt and stop being so jealous of the thrifty things other bloggers find! I love what you found!
I wish I had that luck finding good linens...but no luck yet :o)
The sheets are great, I like the green one! And the chest is perfect to store quilts. Hope you find one!
I love the hutch in the pic. I love antique looking things.
Have you seen the one from Ikea? I forget what it's called, but it's a small glassed cabinet sort of like that. It's not as cheap as a by the side of the road find, but a lot cheaper than PB, that's for sure! That's what I'm thinking about getting to put quilts in. I love their hutch too.
That little hutch is wonderful. I can think of several ways to use it but holding quilts is by far the best!
You're so funny. I've decided to sell my house next year and am already donating stuff faster that I probably should. I want everything GONE!
google wont loose people... it forwarded me to you!!
Man, I never have that kind of luck at the thrift store!
Did you know IKEA has a decent looking red cabinet with glass doors? it is on my list for my eventual studio. They also have a yellow one in the Hemnes line.
That cabinet looks like an old pie safe. Hopefully you can find one using that search term. Haunt some antique shops in out of the way places and you will surely find one you like! Good luck!

Some of my best furniture finds came from the side of the road. Now, craigslist is another alternative! Love it... and your site... Thanks.
I have so many friends that find good things along the road. I guess I drive on the wrong roads as I never find anything good. No goodwill around here either. Darn
Love coming to your site.
