Halloween ornaments

First off Thanks for all the baby well wishes!  I thought of you all during my porcelain worship this morning.  Some of your comments cracked me up, now if you could all just move next door to me and be my neighbors that would be great.  :)  We would have lots of fun…guaranteed.

This little ornament/doorknob hanger was last nights fun little project while watching tv.  He was really fast and easy, and looks cute hanging on the Halloween Tree I made last week.  He’s mostly wool felt & some green velvet I already had.  Now I want to make a big one, like pillow sized.

These cute little ornaments I made last week in a church craft night.  They are made out of matchboxes (found at Dollar Tree) which you then paint, Modge Podge with scrapbook paper & pictures, then hot glue trimmings and a handle on.  I have plans to make more of these, except probably not so detailed with stuff on the inside, because heaven knows I won’t ever let my kids touch them or open them anyways. :)

IMG_1012 I remembered while making these how much I love working with paper.  I need to do it more often.  Especially since I have ALOT of it.

I’ll take a picture of the Halloween Tree (spray painted branches) when I finally get around to covering the stems in the pot with something cute. Like maybe by Thanksgiving or so.  In the meantime here’s Ben holding the branches…….with that “my Mom is a nut-so” look in his eyes.

Ben with have so many great memories when he is all grown up of the fun stuff you guys do together. Sometimes I wonder if my kids will remember... You *need* to make a pillow sized pumpkin, too cute And I hear ya, I love working with paper too, just don't do it enough.

Ben is a boy and all boys think all mommies are crazy when we get "crafty"! LOL He's probably really wondering what he can go whack with the sticks!
Blessings

Love your Halloween tree branch, and the pumpkin is wonderful! Now I'm going to have to make one!

All kids seem to go through the 'my mom is crazy' phase (or at least look at us that way!) He's too cute! Great helper!

So I'm not the only one who a) has way more paper than she'll ever use and b) gets her kids to help with random art projects that make them wonder what I'm thinking. I agree with the earlier comment - in the end, they'll have great memories of the stuff you do together. Keep them guessing, I say!
