I haven’t been up to anything impressive lately, but I did learn how to make these self binding receiving blankets today (after standing in an HOUR cutting counter line at Joanns….yuck….but flannel is %60 percent off….yay! ) This pattern is fun, it only took me about 20 minutes. I’m not sure where my pattern came from, but there is a nice tutorial here that is similar. This nice little stack is to give away, but I will definitely be making these for my own little one soon!

I love a good flannel - all my kiddos are "Blankie" kids and so it was nice to buy up a few meters for each of them so they would have more than one blankie that they could alternate between.

Flannel receiving blankets are SO useful and practical. Especially for newborns, I think. I'll definitely use the tutorial you suggested.

SO, I've never done this before, but I went in to Joanns, pulled up your blog on my iphone, and bought the exact same boy prints so I could make the exact same ones as you. :-) My boys are so excited for some fresh dragarounds. Thanks for the inspiration- you are awesome!

Thank you for posting this link! I went to a baby shower this weekend - whipped out two of these blankets and a pair of blocks in less than 2 hours. The mom-to-be and the guests loved them! So very easy!
