Craving…

1.  Some Zzzzzzzzzz’s.

IMG_29444-1

Actually Ryan’s been a pretty good sleeper, so I can’t complain too much.

2.  A little bit of  Whimsy, by Fig Tree Quilts @ the Fat Quarter Shop.  I love that ric-rac fabric.

3.   My favorite jeans.   I gained lots of weight this pregnancy….not sure how though since all I’ve had to eat the past couple of months is eggs.   The kind of eggs that come in a purple bag.   Which is why my old jeans will have to wait until June July.

4.  New fabric.  I am sick of my fabric.  Maybe if I folded it I would like it better, but for now its still in post moving piles like this one…..yikes.

Thank you for all your baby well wishes!  I loved reading all your comments.  We are doing great and adjusting pretty well to having a newborn around again.  I even got some sewing done this afternoon in between changing the baby’s outfit three times.  I forgot how many clothes & diapers newborns go through. :)  Thanks again for saying hello and stopping by this blog….you guys make my day!

I wish I could bring over a sweet treat, sit and drink some tea with you while I fold all those piles of gorgeous fabric. Then I could admire your beautiful baby while the organization junkie in me goes crazy with that pile :) It's amazing how quick you forget the newborn stage, eh?

What a cutie!!! I can't imagine getting any sewing done with a newborn around... that didn't happen until mine was 6 months... go you!!!

Your baby is so beautiful! Enjoy his newborn-ness....so fast they grow. Yea, it's spring and time for lots of newness....you'll be wanting shorts instead of jeans anyway! I enjoy reading your blog full off ideas very much.

I LOVE baby yawns and stretches...the kind where their little spine curves and you swear their head is going to touch their wee bum. Don't worry about those jeans, make some comfy skirts with all that fabric (better yet, get a friend who doesn't have a newborn to make them for you!!). Thanks for sharing baby pix.

Jeans schmeans. Chocolate is necessary to survive newborn sleep schedules. Enjoy each yawn, sigh, and smirk. Best wishes!

p.s. I just noticed we have the same sewing machine! I'll have to pick your brain later about quilting your quilts with it!

In a show of true bloggy support, allow me to offer some assistance in relieving you of some of that awful fabric in your stash.

I remember BenBen going through so many outfits and re-remembered it when we brought Silas home from the hospital, but he only blew through ONE diaper!! Of course it was when I wasn't at home and didn't have extra pants for him. And then he spat up ALL over my shoulder. So we're probably even. :D
Can't wait to see you all in a few weeks!!!!!

Your baby is adorable. So fun. Enjoy them while they are little...you know how it goes...honest they will be gone before you have time to figure out what happened.

Rinachiyya said...

LOL ,they are my favorites too the purple eggs.Ones you eat one you keep on eating them.
Ryan is adorable and don't worry the weight will come off.
I gained 50 pounds with the last one and went back to a 102 lbs.
It is not the number on the scale but how healthy you are that is most important.
You can do it.
Enjoy each minute with your beautiful baby.

Enjoy him. They grow up waaaaaay too fast. Take it from someone that has a 26, 22 & 17 year-olds.
But I'm looking forward to the day I get to have a little grandchild to spoil.

I'm kind of sick of my fabric too. I never ever understood people who collected things until I found designer fabric. My house does not have one single knick-knack in it, but piles of fabric. The pleasure seems to be in the aquiring, but not as much in the having.

Ryan is a handsome boy. I'm glad to hear you are getting both rest and time to enjoy what you like. I spent National Quilting Day in my sewing room working on the pinwheel baby quilt from Moda Bake shop using the same charm pack you just bought. What are you going to do with yours?

ok, if I may be so bold as to say this. I LOVE your fabric!! We should totally have a fabric swap website for those who are tired of their own fabric but like someone else's old fabric. I totally have the most boring and mostly solid colored fabrics ever because they are all hand me downs. I have yet to buy new fabric but twice in my life.
Congrats on the beautiful baby, btw. What a cutie!
