For my birthday this year my husband bought me this book (at Costco). I am always a little skeptical of Martha books, even though I loved her last craft book there was very few things I would actually make in it. So I wasn’t going to get this one, but I’m happy to say I LOVE it! It has so many great projects for home, baby, kids, and its full of great stitching techniques and resources for learning. So good job Martha (or Martha’s people), this one I’ll actually use!

And just for kicks I had to share this vintage wall clock my Mom bought for me at one of our favorite antique stores in Seattle’s Pike Place Market. I don’t even know the name of the store, but its fabulous and full of treasures. This one makes me want to start collecting retro clocks.

PS. I'm featured today over at Sew It To Me. Check it out here!

Happy Birthday! And I'm glad you posted about the book since I am on the hold list at the library for this one. Can't wait to thumb through it. Love the clock as well. Reminds me of the clock in my grandmother's kitchen growing up. :)

I was heading to the "chicken" department at Costco over the weekend and the corner of my eye saw Martha. She was waving at me :) So, of course, I had to pick her up and bring her home with me to have a lovely chat! It's a fantastic book!
And the clock ... man, oh man would I love one of those. Pure Vintage Yuminess!

Happy Birthday! I love Martha! Although I always feel a bit sad when I realize I will never be like her, or at least like the person I imagine her to be.
Clock is so cute, too!
Thanks for the tip on the book! And very very Happy Birthday!!
Happy Birthday! Cool clock, too - it would be perfect in my sewing room with my antique sewing magazine covers on the wall.

I *almost* bought that book at Powell's the other day. I thought it looked fabulous. Hmm...guess I should have gone to Costco with my husband. Now I need to plan a trip of my own. Kuddo's to your man! ...and I need to check out that shop next time i'm at Pike Place Market.
The clock is fab!
