Oh Pez Fabric…

IMG_35211

Once upon a time I bought a whole lot of American Jane Pez fabric. I love the fabric (LOVE IT!) but then I used it in this, and this, and this, and this, and this, and this, and this, and this, and this, and this, and this, and this, and this, and this, and this, and for the whole back of this.

Not to mention the pillows, and table runners, and well….you get the picture. So needless to say I’m sick of it. Really sick of it. I still love it, I just don’t want to see another piece of Pez fabric in another quilt for a very long time.

So last week I was on a mission to use it up. So I made one baby quilt top (this pattern) with as much pez as one baby quilt can possibly handle….can ya tell? But after one baby quilt I was pez’d out, so I sold the rest to a good home. So long pez…you will be (kind of) missed.

Visit Pink Chalk Fabrics for all things non-pez. As in new fabric like Modern Meadow by Joel Dewberry. I may or may not have bought some already when I was whining about hating all my fabric a couple weeks ago.

As long as you still love everything you've made with it - that's what matters :)

I love that fabric and had fun looking at everything you had used it in. I'm super sad I didn't get to buy it. If you ever have any other fabric you want to sell - let me know. I feel fabric deprived here. I'm in love with the fabric in the quilt kit I bought from your etsy store. I love it so much I'm scared to start the project as I don't want to mess up the lovely fabric.

Is it weird that I never heard of it? Anyway, the quilt looks so beautiful. I love the colour combinations!

Fabulous! I also used that fabric SO much when it came out that I needed a break. Just lovely :)

Ha, ha. Great job - the quilt looks awesome. I like the pez and all, but I confess I don't quite understand the hysteria over it on Flickr. Glad you got some good mileage out of it, though.

What a great post! I thought for sure that you were exaggerating the "this"s. Nope... I loved looking at all of your creations! I really want to make a double hour glass quilt sometime.

A totally delightful new baby quilt! So perfectly cheerful for a little one.

I get that way with all my fabrics. I've stopped buying more than 1/2 metre pieces because I know I will get sick of it after a few uses. And I still have scraps left... Great final use of it all!

Oh my how I wish I would have had a chance to purchase some of your black and white pez fabric :(
I have been looking for 2 years to find a fat quarter of it anywhere.
I did get some red and white on Etsy for about $20 a fat quarter!!
I know. Insane,but I was desperate.
You were so fortunate to be able to make so many beautiful quilts with your lovely, lovely fabrics.
A whole backing?? Pardon me while go into a corner and whimper.

Great minds think alike! I just bought a fat quarter stack of MM in the luscious sunglow colourway from PCS not 3 hours ago. Yummo!

Ooh I LOVE that. I am obviously not Pezzed out as you are!

What a happy colored quilt. Wow, how much of that fabric you might have bought!

Thanks for your Linky page. I put my blog in it and wondered why people landed on a not sooo pretty page in my blog. It was my stupid mistake, I linked to a certain post and not to the blog itself. Is it possible to take it out or, more easy, may I link in some time again with just my blog's name?
Thanks
Tally

what a cute quilt! I love the pez fabric too, but have only used it in limited amounts.

I'm glad you've finally cleared your stash - you made some great projects along the way :)

How awesome that you got so much use out of it! I am surprised you complained about your stash when you have most peoples dream stash. But I guess we all get sick of what we have. :)

Goodness, how many yards/metres of each fabric did you have originally?

All of us quilters get tired of our fabrics and sometimes I wonder why I bought it in the first place. I like yours. I have not anything like it and in a scrap wuilt it looks great.
Love your work and choices of fabrics.
Happy quilting.

I absolutely love this! Pez are so fabulous! A fabulous effort.
Good enough to eat too!

Oh I love all your fabrics. I think your stash must be cool just looking at what you put in your quilts. Funny though how I seem to swith allegiance on my favorite fabric at a moments notice and shake my head over some of my stupid fabric buying mistakes. Just be glad the stuff you wanted to get rid of (Pez) is highly sought after, so others will snatch it up and you can load up on something new.
