I didn't mean to add this post to this blog ( it was supposed to be on my family blog)...but since there are already comments on it I'm leavin' it! :)

We are free of Ben’s pacifier (pow pow) finally. This is how:
Ben: I broke my pow pow.
Me: Bummer…maybe you can have no pow pow’s now since your a big boy.
Ben: No, we’ll buy more at Target.
Me: You can buy more Pow Pows…..or any toy you want.
Ben: Ok, I want an Ipod like Daddy’s.
Me (in my thoughts): Crap.
Me: How about an airplane instead?
Ben: OK.
The end.

haha - so great...and yes, the power of suggestion :-)
Yay!
Ha ha ha ha . . . love it!
That's great! Next question - do you get him HIS plane or pack for YOUR plane? lol
:) Ann
HA! excellent :)
That's funny!
I would willingly trade my daughter's thumb for an IPod.
So funny! Congrats! Jenn
There's a quilt in the background, so it fits here just fine!
When my daughter was about 2 she rolled the car window down and tossed hers out. For several days we rode by and she waved and that was the end of it!
Funny! I got rid of our "bobby" by having her tie it in a tree at night for the "bobby fairy" to come and get it and take it to the babies who need it. In the morning a Dora toy was hanging in its place. Voila.
This made me smile. When we wanted our son to quit with the "dum-dum" my husband pretended to be a firefighter, who called my son on the telephone. He said if he threw away the dum-dum, he would be a big boy and therefore allowed to ride on the fire truck at the station open day on Saturday. It worked :)
Best wishes from England
congratulations! heeheee... and I love how he immediately suggested an iPod. Smart little boy!
That is great news! My son "lost" his at the 4th of July fireworks a few years back he was 4. Congrats!
Never underestimate the power of bribery.
LOL I'm making notes.. I'm sure this will come in handy one day.
More years ago than I care to count, My elder daughter finally gave up her pacifier the same day her little sister threw hers in the trash can. I thought we would never see the end of pacifiers until my younger barely walking child showed her sister how to get rid of them. That night was a bit of trial. Maybe I should have bought an airplane. But it all ended well.
phew! that was a close one!
it is so perfect when they give it up on their own. My daughter had a 'yum' and one day she just said she thought it was time she sent it to her cousin. So we let her collect them all, package them and we "mailed" them the next day. no more yum

Love your Pow Pow story! When my nephew was 3 my SIL took him to Toys R Us with all his Pow Pows to purchase anything in the store he wanted just for giving them up and he bought a pack of gum :O)
I love it. I have to make you laugh and I may have told you before. I just learned how to sew in January and have made a few things. Well when I saw your camera strap cover I fell in love. Except now I have over 30 and have no idea what to do with them
Oh what fun! I found your blog through Jamie's blog. I'll keep following!
