No surprise this is one of my favorite quilts. Both of my boys quilts are my favorite. This one was made for my second son Ryan with leftover fabric from his older brother’s quilt. I wanted something similar to Ben’s quilt since they were going to share a room, but nothing too matchy matchy. After I decided on circles, the pattern came together in my head and lucky for me went together smoothly. This is the only rag edge quilt I’ve ever done, I’m not a fan of rag quilts but I love the way the circles pop against the square backgrounds. This quilt makes me happy, which is exactly the point of making it. :) The free pattern for this quilt is here.

I thought the quilt was super cool (especially with the circles popping out against the rectangles)...but then I saw it in the baby's room. That room is amazing! Would it be weird if I made my grownup bedroom look just like this room? I love the grey with the pops of color and that striking white quilt.
I love them both but I have to make that circle one. It's adorable!!

It's gorgeous! Those raw edges really do it for me, and the offset circles in squares. I love how it looks in action in your son's room.

Oh my goodness! I love both of those quilts! The colors are perfect. Usually when I think of colors for a boy quilt I think BORING, but that quilt is anything but!

Both quilts are just gorgeous, great boys quilts which are so hard to get just right yet still tasteful! I am making a particularly ugly one for my son - he chose the fabric and I am not inspired!

I love seeing everyone's favorite quilts! I also had to mention my 5-month-old little boy is named Ben. His quilt isn't quite done yet but what's funny is that it is a raw edge circle quilt!

Love the mix of fabrics on both the quilts pictured. Those circles really do stand out because of the raw edges. Very clever to have two quilts that go together but not at all the same. Inspiring!

I love Ben's quilt, and I really like the circles quilt, too. But, like you, I'm not too much a fan of ragged edge either. I think if I made a circles quilt I would have to button-hole stitch around them all just to make for a smoother quilt. Your colors are magnificent!! Great festival entries!

Such a yummy, yummy quilt. Love the fabrics. Note sure about the raggy edge thing either as I worry about durability. However those circles do look great done as raw edge.

Both of the quilts are so delightfully scrappy! I'll admit to being especially partial to quilts with curves though. I'm cutting for a new Drunkard's Path myself, so it was a real joy to see your ragged edge circles. The circles do indeed "pop".
Wow 2 terrific quilts. I really like how they work together without being carbon copies. I'm not big on raw edge but it definitely makes it dimensional and interesting.
