Are we there yet?

I am so done driving.  Really….like I never ever want to get in my car ever again.  Luckily everything went smoothly and the kids were awesome, but still….not that much fun to be in the car for 5 days!   Now if you’ll excuse me I should probably take a shower since its 1:30 in the afternoon.  After I  find the shower curtain and the shampoo and a towel and my blow dryer and any clean clothes in a mess of bins and boxes that I didn’t label.  Or maybe I’ll just stay in my jammies!

That was quite a ride. Thank goodness you're safe. The worst part of moving is finding all your stuff. Hang in there.

Stay in your jammies. You deserve it.

Find your softest, worn jammies. Make sure they're clean and you're clean and go veg girl. You earned it.

I bet you loved the drive through Nebraska the very most, eh? :) We're lovely people but the terrain can be quite boring. But hey, at least our speed limit is pretty good! :) Glad you've arrived to your new place safe and sound!

Bless your heart I can feel your pain!! We moved from Alaska to Indiana in mid January. 3854 miles and 10 days later we arrived. Thank goodness our children are older (15, 13, and 10) and both our dogs are good travelers.

Now go get yourself some rest!! Glad to hear that you all arrived safe and sound, all be it road weary! I am so glad that you will now be closer to family.

Take care

I would love to claim your spot in the Rocky Mountains - lucky you! Who cares about shower curtains when you have MOUNTAINS??!!

That map makes me realize just how close to Calgary you are now. Maybe we can meet in Montana one day? Hope the settling in goes well.

Yeah - I totally didn't understand how far you were moving. I moved 2 blocks 6 months ago with 2 kids and it was crazy... but that's nothing on you :)

I can totally relate! Two years ago we drove from eastern North Dakota to Fairbanks, Alaska..a week in the car and 3 days on a ferry. It was great until we were in the middle of the Yukon and our then 2 year old started throwing up..nonstop. Nothing like it! Well, until we drive back to the lower 48 in two years with a 2 year old and 6 year old! :)

Oh good luck with finding everything. I am glad that your boys did well on the drive. I am nervous for the drive from Utah to Disneyland in October, so I can't imagine how it would be for 5 days:)

Seeing how I live in Lincoln, Nebraska, I can honestly say that I'm sorry that you had to drive through Iowa and Nebraska. We're pretty boring states.

Wow, bless your heart! Glad you had a safe trip. I live a little south of Cleveland and didn't realize that Idaho was such a straight shot west!

When I was 6 we drove from Virginia to California in 5 days. My brother was 4. At the time we were heartbroken that my dad sold our dog, a St Bernard, but looking back, that would have been a horrible trip otherwise!

Hope you settle in quickly and enjoy your new place!
