Jealous of my tan? I know you are. I love summer skirts, so this week I have some skirt tutorial posts for you. I love the look of this skirt with the jersey band at the top. So this is my first attempt at imitating it. After making this one I think I would like it better in a heavier jersey or a knit fabric though.

I have to mention that I won this fabric from this blog (thank you!)...they have fabulous giveaways going all the time....no really....fabulous giveaways.

Hmm, I've been thinking of skirt-making (my summer standard), maybe I'll have to experiment with jersey.
Nice skirt! I also won a fabulous price from 44th street fabric a couple months ago. You made good use of yours!
Cute skirt, and I really love your shoes!
Cute skirt! Thank you for sharing the tutorial!
Very cute! I love summer skirts too!
That is so cute! I love skirts in the summer and this one is perfect! Thanks so much, I'll be linking.
Thanks for the tutorial! I noticed your thread holder hanging on your wall. Can you tell me where to find some sewing organizers like that? I need something! My e-mail is bork88@gmail.com.
this would be GREAT for ladies like me, who are...., ahem, needing some stretch in the waist area. I wonder if I could make it work for my preggers AND post-preggers body??
I had a maternity skirt JUST LIKE THIS and lived in it. And I thought at the time - I wish I sewed and I could make one of these. Now I sew, but am not pregnant, but this would still be a great skirt. Thanks for sharing.
Very cute! I get nervous to sew knit fabrics though. Do you have any tips on how to sew stretchy knit fabric?
Thanks for the tutorial. I was shopping at Target yesterday, saw the camis and thought of you. This is an apparel project I may actually attempt!
Thanks for the tutorial!
I have a weekly Thursday blog party especially for people to share things they've made to be worn. Stop by if you'd like! It is called Make It Wear It and I host it at TheTrainToCrazy.com
