Today my Ben started preschool. What in the world am I going to do with that extra time ?
That was a rhetorical question….obviously.
Oh and just to brag because I can…I got that Pottery Barn backpack with his name already on it for $3.00 (!!!!) at a local discount store that caries all the Pottery Barn mess-ups. Deal of the century.
I also forgot awhile back to introduce my two newest sponsors Fresh Squeezed Fabrics (love her fat quarter bundles!) and Meriwether Essentials a cute new shop full of natural yummy soaps….Welcome!

Hooray for preschool! My oldest daughter started yesterday too, and my youngest is supposed to be going to Mother's Day Out on the same days (tues and thurs) as my oldest, but she threw up 7 times the night before so she missed her first day! Luckily my oldest had a great time at preschool though and Hanna will be able to go to MDO tomorrow...two days a week, 8:30-3:30= Happy/productive mama! :) Enjoy your one-on-one time with baby Ryan!
Obviously! LOL
Wish I had a local store that sold Pottery Barn mess ups!!! How awesome is that?
Totally distracted by your fabric piles. Red dots, aqua and gray! Hello my pretties!! : )
how cute is HE!?
:-)
WOW! That is a deal! YAY for more sewing time!!! :)
Can't wait to see what you do with that stack...intrigued by the red polka dotted. Ben's a darling bet you will miss him.
I love fresh squeezed fabrics as well! And seriously you always find the best deals! Awesome!!
What a deal! My sister and I often shop there but always have to pick out the embroidered names or simply cover them in some sort of clever-ish way. Who knew you could find the name you actually want?!
Would you mind identifying this awesome store where you can buy the Pottery Barn mishaps? I make it to Utah a couple of times a year and it sounds like this store would make a fun shopping trip. Thank you! sorainima@gmail.com
Congrats! How did his first day go? Do tell, where is this famous PB mistake store? It may be worth the field trip!! That is a seriously awesome steal!
Happiness to all of that!
Aww, he's a cutie pie! I'm looking forward to preschool. Can't wait to see what you do with all that time...
Ha ha ha...I was just thinking...she didn't just say that, did she? Yay for more time!!!
Adorable (the fabric and Ben!). :))
what a cutie pie he is! And what a deal you snagged at PB - lucky you!
Ohh I wish Australia had PB!! He is just beautiful!
Horray for Ben starting preschool. That will give you and little Ryan some quality quilting time!! Enjoy! Jenn
REMEMBER!!! TELL ALL YOUNG CHILDREN wearing any item of clothing with their names on visible to the eye...
Just because someone knows your name, doesn't mean they know you or Mommy or Daddy and they may not be your friend.
A safety reminder.
I think names on items is a wonderful feel-good for children, but please be realistic to the danger of someone not being "normal". I will leave it at that.
All the best to your wee guy starting school. I hope his moccasins shall always walk a path of even ground.
Brenda from Oshawa Ontario.
I remember those days when my oldest went for the first time. I was looking at the clock all the time.
Hope Ben loves school.
Happy quilting .
He is so darn cute! Love your colors. Karmen
I am so glad Brenda brought up the danger of having a child identified to a stranger with a name on the backpack. A child can be lured into a false sense of security when a stranger calls them by name.
I can see how that could be a danger...luckily my sons preschool is next door and at the home of a good friend. :) Thank you for the concern!
