Flannel

IMG_0388-1

I’m starting to feel the crunch since Christmas is over and I’m getting bigger…this pregnancy has flown by and I need it to slow down so I can get some stuff done!  Another batch of these self-binding flannel blankets were in order…but in pink.   :)  I used my other ones like crazy.  I used a pattern but there are good tutorials here, here, and here.

Cloth diaper burp rags are also a must have…these ones are bound for extra cuteness.  9 more weeks ( or 8?) to go!

I love the binding on the burp cloth! I never thought of that and I always hate how the edges look on them!

The binding on the burp cloth is such a good idea, makes it look more finished!

Wonderful Idea on the binding - totally makes it! I am expecting Jan 30 so it's REALLY crunch time here. I have yet to paint the dresser, wash the clothes, and sew the bumper & quilt, so you're doing fine lady! HAHA

I'm going to have to check out the pattern for my little girl, due March 17 =) I know what you mean about the pregnancy flying by-it seems like you have eons, and then suddenly it's here! We're just getting ready to work on the nursery, but of course I need to sew up some quilts or two first =)

Yeah, and I need to make a bunch of flannel blankets in BLUE! :) I've got a few leftover from the girls, but some are very girly. :) I LOVE the flannel blankets for my bitty babies. They're SO perfect.

It just seems like yesterday that you shared you were expecting. I can't believe it's only weeks away! So excited to meet your new little girl!

I love your blog! For all the sewing that I do, I have never seen these little blankets. I've added this project to my 2012 list. Somebody is bound to have a baby. Can't wait to show you my Dresden that is just about complete, I'm finishing my embroidery this week and then I will post on SoulDelights. The next quilt I start will be from a Cluck Cluck Pattern. This is the year of QUILTING for me! Happy New Year!

Love the blankets! It's getting closer and closer. I'm due at the end of March and realized that I have 12 weeks to go. At some point you start counting backward (how much is left rather than how far along you are!).

Love the cloth diaper burp rags. Did you just sew a strip of fabric down the middle and then bind the whole thing?

11 for me, and it seemed like SUCH A LONG TIME until you mentioned 8 or 9 weeks, and I thought, "gosh, that's soon," and then realized I'm right behind you...Akkk!

I too am liking the binding on the burp clothes. Like the blankets as well. Have never done the self-binding like you did. Will have to try that!

Love your blog - love blogs in general, but yours I read first when I open my e-mail every morning!

Hope the last weeks of your pregnancy go well - how exciting to see that new baby!

I'm due on March fourth with my baby girl...I just realized you must be within a few days of that. Yay!

I've loved your blog since your last sweetie was born, but am not much of a commenter;-) Thanks for a couple cute project ideas that I can use when I have some spare time to devote to nesting!

I have two boys and my third is a girl :-) I'm so excited for you! Time goes so fast but your third child is usually pretty laid-back - because she has to be! Enjoy your time left as a "mom of boys". It takes some getting used-to to start saying "the kids" instead of "the boys". I love the flannel blankies and might need to make some myself.

Cute projects! I'm interested in the burp clothes too - did you machine stitch the fabric strip on?? (assuming so...)

I have 2 co-workers who are expecting boys. This will be a great gift to make them. Thank you for the links to the tutorials to make the blankets!

We must be due at almost the same time. Love the blankets!

What brand diapers do you like to use? Where do you find them? It's hard to find cloth diapers in Texas.
