Last week I had this cute bundle in my mailbox all the way from the UK. This line is Cherry Christmas by my friend Aneela for Moda. I love Aneela’s work because she mixes my favorite basics with the sweetest little illustrations. This line does not disappoint! It will be available this month.
I’d been thinking about what I want to make with this bundle when I pulled out my Fourth of July quilt. It’s the perfect pattern for these cute Christmas fabrics!
So add that to the list of want-to-makes. I want to make this quilt with Cherry Christmas…I have six months to get’er done so I’ll have no excuses if I don’t!
Have a Happy and Safe 4th to all my friends in the USA!

What a special treat for you. I agree, your patriotic quilt would make a great pattern for the new Christmas fabric. Can't wait to see how it turn out.
It is going to be so cute! I like this line too. It doesn't scream Christmas. I think I'd like some too. Thank you.

It will be perfect for this Christmas print...that I fell in love with when I saw it....Still very new to quilting...can you tell us how much fabic it takes to make this quilt...did she send fat quarters & will it take all of what she sent to complete the quilt? Sorry lots of ??'s. Just would like to know what to buy, when it becomes available.
Thanks again for all you do, especially the hints & tutorials for us neebies!

Hi Nancy! I'm not sure the fabric requirements of the star quilt...I just planned on cutting the required pieces out of the fat quarters but I'm not sure exactly how much it will take. Sorry! If I do the math on it I will post it! -Al
Those fabrics are super cute. I think I might have to get myself some. Cant wait to see the finished quilt. I have only recently discovered your blog and have found it full of inspiration - thank you xxx
