Today I’m reviewing this fun book by my friend Natalia.
The book is full of detailed step-by-step instructions for free-motion quilting as well as 6 quilt patterns…this is my favorite:
I tend to play it safe when I free motion quilt…I like fast and easy a little too much, so this book is a much needed kick in the pants to try something new. I always do loopty-loops like this:
I’d love to get good at something like this from her book:
She makes it really easy and I love the section on quilting Negative Space.
To win a copy of Natalia’s book: A Beginner’s Guide to Free-Motion Quilting, leave a comment on this post and I’ll make my husband pick a random winner tomorrow. :)

Lovely.. Great to win great books..
I've never done free motion quilting and maybe that is why I am so very slow with my quilts because it is all hand quilted. I would love to win this book.
I need to get better at quilting the 'negative space'! ...love to win this book - thanks for blogging about it!
Oh, how wonderful! This is definitely something for me. I'm sure there are lot of great tips and new to learn. Would be thrilled to win this book! Thank you for a lovely giveaway!
I need this book!! I have always wanted to try FMQ but never had the guts to just do it.
I'm a "fast and easy" free-motion quilter too. This book looks like a great way to expand my skills!
Ooh, this looks like a great book. I always play it safe, too - either loops or stipples. But I'd love to try bubbles or something a little fancier.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I have wanted to do free-motion quilting, but have been scared to try it because it seems so overwhelming. I would love to read this book to help my try it out!
Wow this looks great. I've completed my three toddler sized quilts and a few smaller items. I've tried the meandering stitch (hated it!, the loopy stitch (love that one) and some straight stitching. But have yet to experiment with anything harder, so this book looks perfect!
I struggle with quilting, but I manage. I think this book would be a great help to me and my quilts :)
I would love to win this! Woo hoo!
And, Yesterday was my birthday!
Have a great day!
I want to win it. Thanks for the chance.

Wow! This would be a great book to win. I just finished the squares for a new quilt and the top for a quilt for my mom and I am trying to work up the courage to try quilting it on my machine at home. OMG this would be FANTASTIC!
I would LOVE this book. I've done long arm quilting at a shop that rented out their long arm and showed you how to use it, but the only one I did on my own machine was a offset x fancy stitch in a straight line. Not very inventive. I'd love to learn more.
I would love to add this book to my library. Thanks for the giveaway!
