I have to show you this beautiful table + bench my husband made me for my bare bones dining room:
I’ve been on the hunt for a farmhouse table for a long time…so he built exactly what I wanted at a fraction of the price…$152 to be exact. We used these plans for the table…these plans for the bench. The stain was a combo of the Weathered Oak first, then a coat of Special Walnut to darken it.
The rug I want for under that table is the expensive part…ouch.
Woodworking is a lot like quilting isn’t it???
In fact, I remember my husband describing quilting as cutting up perfectly good fabric and sewing it back together again…sort of like…oh yeah….woodworking. ;)
I’m mostly excited to use it for quilting, and fabric arranging…but not eating…there will be too much fabric and quilting.
Someday I’ll tell you how I said his name wrong in front of him…and I wanted to put my head in a bag.
The winner of the S is for Stitch Giveaway was Jenny Larking…thanks for entering!
