Stay Home Day + Shop Hop

Quilted Straight

If you live close…come visit me at Quilted Strait in Port Gamble, WA during Shop Hop this weekend!  I’ll be there from 12 – 4 doing a book signing…with lots of quilts and time to chat!  The address is here on their facebook page, or here on their website.   It’s a really great shop…and if  you’ve never been to Port Gamble you’ll love it.

With any luck I’ll have this quilt in tow…

After non-stop playing and park hopping…we’re pooped.  Today is a stay home day.  My 6 year old and I are drawing in bed while the little ones nap.

Then we’ll follow our little whirlwind around while she empties every garbage can and drawer in the house!

Love the baby straight jacket! Baby seems to be quite content to be 'jacketed'. :-)

Port Gamble is beautiful! I visited there a few years ago -- so charming! Would love to visit again, but unfortunately it won't be on the 22nd :/ Have a great time staying home with the little ones. I would love to stay home today - cloudy day in Oregon.

Wish I could come but SoCal is too far away!! I seem to be in the same phase with my little one; he is a dumper/clearer too! That is darling of your daughter wrapped in the quilt! =)

Very cool! I don't live in WA State anymore and really am going to miss the shop hop! My Mom and I did it three years in a row and loved it.

Looking for a project!? are you kidding? I'm still working on Summer Scrappy! :) When you come through Boise, let's get you lined up with a book signing at the quilting store here. Would be fun!

I'm laid up recouping from knee surgery or I would hop on a ferry Saturday morning. There's a great muffin shop my sis and I stopped at on our way to Port Angeles, right there in Kingston. I wish I could remember the name of it, they had great scones. Hope you have a fun day!

Allison... what's the easiest way for me to get a signed copy of your book? Flying to WA is not an option :)

I love the new book. Can't wait to see what you will have at the fall quilt market.

Oh, it would be fun to come visit, but it's a little farther from Portland than I thought.
Love the baby straight jacket ~ she looks so happy in it!

Oh my goodness I'd love to come to a Port Gamble, I love that store. If only you were going to be there Sunday too, I'd definitely be able to swing in but we have plans in the opposite direction of Port Gamble on Saturday.

Baby straight jacket? Hah! All you need to do is add some Velcro straps. You do realize that this is probably a million-dollar idea, like the "leashes" that you see kids wearing in crowded places sometimes to prevent them from wandering off and getting lost. ;-) Now you have me thinking about making a larger version of a quilted straight jacket for my 9 and 12 year olds!

It's my two year old's great game to wrap up and hide in our quilts - I think she'd love straight jackets, and Sophie certainly seems to be having a ball!

I think your Briar Rose quilt is one of the best I've seen--even just the little bit pictured!
