Quilting Happiness

Book review Quilting Happiness

I leaped at the chance to review this book.   Christina and I became blogging friends 6 years ago, and Diane I met at quilt market this last spring.  I adore them both…so the 2 of them together writing a book is perfection.

Pretty purples

There are fabulous projects in it…and not just that, but great tidbits of information, inspiration, and beautiful photography.

Quilting Happiness

The projects are perfect to stretch me out of my comfort zone a bit…not too hard to be scary, but not whip-it-up-in-one-night projects either.   The book releases in a few days but is available for pre-order now and you can get a better peek of the inside on amazon too.

There is a lot of great reading material and ideas in it from Christina and Diane…I’ve so enjoyed reading through it this week after I tuck the kids in bed.  Anyways…now I’m rambling, but I really did enjoy this book!

Window August 2013

Just a heads up… I’m teaching at the Avenue Fabric Studio in Victoria, BC on October 12 and 13.  We’ll be making a Suburbs quilt during the 2 day workshop and you can find more details and info about it here!

It’s going to be a lot of fun…hope to see some of you there!

I am so close to Victoria (I'm in Calgary), but so far! This is thrilling you are workshopping, I am so sad I wont be able to make it! Also - I am in love with the bunch of fabrics in this blog post - the white/ red flowers on the purple background is haunting me!
