Aurifil - Block of the Month

Block of the Month October

I signed on to be an Aurifil Block of the Month designer last October for this October…and one year sure flew by fast!

You can stop by the Aurifil blog right now for an interview with me…but be prepared for way more info and way more pictures than you could ever want to know or see!

You can also get the free PDF instructions for that block up there, as well as links to the other block of the month designs for 2013.

Here’s a fun peak into their factory in Italy.  I buy my thread from my local quilt shop, or you can also find it online here, or here.

Your picture of you and your little girl is just so precious. Thank you for the pattern Allison. You are still such a favorite of mine. It is wonderful to see how you have grown in the quilting/fabric world. I hope only the best for you and your family. (I see you had zucchini like us. Did you make zucchini bread? I made like 16 loaves for the freezer but it's going fast).

Nice interview! I wanted to work for Martha Stewart when I was a teenager. I think she's pretty awesome, too.

Just ordered a fat quarter bundle of your new fabric from FQS. I am so happy it's finally available!!!!! Congratulations!

I'll give this a try! Both of my kids want quilts for their beds and I've been trying to pick a design that will work for both of them, using the same pattern but different colors. (I have a boy and a girl) This could be it!

(P.S. I like to refinish furniture, too. =) )

Loved finding out a little more about how you came to quilting. I think it is in your genes. I saw your fabric line at Hawthorne Threads and thought it was beautiful. You are one very talented woman.

I love that article & all the pics and info. And I love Seville!! ;) Can't wait to get some of your new fabric-gonna order it this weekend. Then the decision of what to make. Maybe Martha would open up week long camps so people could go to her farm and learn various things? That's always been a dream of mine. :)
