Oink Oink Quilt

IMG_1837

I’ve had this layer cake on my shelf for over a year…it’s so cute I kept waiting for a special project or a special person to give it to.  Then I scrapped that idea and whipped up a couple of small quilts to donate…this fabric could work for a boy or a girl so it’s perfect.  The pattern is my Suburbs pattern…with one or two alterations and made a crib size.

The fabric is Oink-a-Doodle-Moo by Moda.  You can still find some here. I especially heart the chicken wire prints.  :)

And just for eye candy…how pretty is this rainbow bundle of tiny confetti dots?

I’m never opening it…like maybe never.

I love house quilts and love your quilt! I'm glad I'm not the only one who cringes when I have to open my precuts! :)

Oh my goodness, how cute!! Great idea for that line of fabric.
I would pet and hold and cuddle that bundle up until
The point where you name it Pete. Then you have to
Use it;)

How darling! I especially love the house design. I want some for myself of the Oink fabric. :) We have chickens and had pigs and would be fun quilting with this fabric. Love your blog as I'm a new subscriber.

I think this quilt is adorable. I like the little houses. I too have several layer cakes I haven't cut into. Remember At Waters Edge? I have many, many I need to get made!

The Moda Bake Shop had three baby quilts you could make with 1 Oink A Doodle Moo jelly roll and assorted other fabrics from the line. I won a jelly roll and have already made the first quilt. I'm now halfway through the second quilt. I LOVE this line of fabric!!

You are on a roll with some beautiful quilts lately! This is absolutely beautiful. It is so hard to make quilts work for either a boy or girl you are right about this one it can totally go either way! Great job!

Oh mama mia, the tiny dots have made me swoon and the chair is threatening to tip over if I don't sit straight. Those dots are too cute for words.

Love the Oink Oink quilt!! I am the same way with a lot of the fabric I have. Think to myself "Oh maybe someday I will have a little girl... I should definitely save this fabric JUST incase" ha ha.

The mini dots collection looks soooooo nice! Almost too nice to open and start using. You should do it though! I am sure you will create something wonderful with it! Excited to see what you do make with all of those fun colors. :)
