Quilt Market Spring 2014

I survived!!!!  I wasn’t so sure I would.  ;)  This was my first time going all by myself…luckily everything worked out and went smoothly.

Pittsburgh is beautiful…the bridges, the buildings downtown, the hills full of trees…I loved it all.

Hands down my favorite part was seeing so many familiar faces.  It was my first time meeting some of these girls in person even though we’ve “known” each other for years!

Quilt Market Bloggers (1)

Some of my favorites from this year in no particular order:

American Made Brand…a solids company out of Seattle (yay!).

The quilting done on this dress by Angela Walters…there are no words.

Seeing my friend Jeni Baker and her cute new line for Art Gallery!

Cotton and Steel…that’s a given.

Rustique by Emily Herrick for Michael Miller.  It’s the year of the deer people!

Fig Tree Quilts…beautiful as always.

Carolyn Friedlander and the quilts from her new book Savor Each Stitch.

The people at Robert Kaufman nailed it this market.  I loved all of their booths. The blueprint basics (above) and Jennifer Sampou’s booth were so colorful.  That quilt by Latifah is amazing.

And last Birch Fabrics and their cute flowers…I think these were my first pin on Pinterest way back when.  ;)  There were of course TONS more booths I loved and tons of great fabrics coming out soon…but these were a few of my favs.  As fun as it is I’m sure happy to be home and done with market for awhile!

My friend Stephanie is having an awesome giveaway that ends tomorrow…including a fat quarter bundle of Oh Clementine!  Pop over here.

Oh, how I wish the US was a little closer!
I'm a bit grumpy because I've signed up for the Cotton & Steel newsletter and have seen nothing of these fabrics - I'm so excited by this collaboration and want to see what's coming out! I'm ready to throw my money at you people, help me out here!
Well done on getting your booth up and manned all by yourself. Not an easy feat!

Does anyone know the name/maker of the pattern for the beautiful dress (blue with red piping) in the last photo? I would love to make it for my girls.

That's amazing - I think I'd be suffering from sensory overload for weeks afterwards! You must be so fired up when you get from these shows.

Your stand looks great. I wish I came over to the States more often, the quilt shows are just awesome. Love your work. Thanks for posting the other pics too - getting inspired while challenged by the 'projects to be finished pile'. Ali G
