Fabric + Cheesecake

Thank you for the fabric love…it took me a couple weeks to work up the courage to hit “publish” on that post…it’s always a bit daunting to share something new.  So thank you for the kind comments and encouragement…you’re my best friends I’ve never met!  ;)

I have lots of things in progress.  I’m calling that one up there “Peas and Carrots”.  I’ll write up a tutorial when I can breathe after market!
That solid yellow in there is my new favorite color…Kona Solid in Curry.  I’ve used it in everything.

On the color card and online it looks horrible because it’s next to all of the bright yellows…but when you use it and put it next to other colors…perfection.
Speaking of perfection…here is the Lemon Cheesecake Recipe I promised.

It’s creamy and mild and super low fat (crossing fingers).

Oh Clementine!

I finally get to show you some Oh Clementine
This is my second fabric collection for Windham Fabrics.  It will be showing at Quilt Market in Pittsburgh, and shipping in early September.  I’m really, really happy with this collection…the colors and prints have that “fresh farmhouse” feel that suit me perfectly.

My Mom saved the day and swooped in to make a few things for me to photograph for the Look book (link coming soon!).
Did I mention having my parents 5 minutes away is the best thing ever?  It might also be the reason they take so many vacations now.  ;)

I have some quilts to show you in the next couple of weeks…and a recipe for the Lemon Cheesecake I ate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner yesterday.

I turned my artwork in for this line the end of last summer after working on it for months, little by little.  I knew what I wanted with this line…and Windham let me roll with it and have free reign…which is amazing for a manufacturer and I’m so grateful to them.

Just looking at these colors makes me ready for summer…now!  Happy Quilting!

Take Four

After making this quilt four times I think I can make it in my sleep.

I hate watching movies twice (Disney movies don’t count!)….but I actually don’t mind making the same quilt a couple of times because I can semi-not pay attention and just sew…and eat…and watch TV….while I sew.  It’s perfect.

This time I used an unknown white fabric from my stash that was a tiny bit stretchy…it made sewing the “laces” a beast.  Starch, gentle pressing, and an accurate seam are your best friend with those suckers.

The back is the softest cuddle fabric….and the quilt was gifted last night to a soon-to-be born Seahawks fan.  :)  Now I’m done with football/football quilts for a looong time.
P.S.  For those that asked the brown fabric is a Kona solid in Earth…best brown ever.  Pattern is Touchdown.
